Services for Ms. Sarah Christine Herd will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Mt Zion Congregational Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ms. Herd, 95, of Union died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Hilltop Manor.
Survivors include two grandchildren, John Thomas Roberts and Elizabeth Roberts; a son-in-law, Spike Roberts; a sister, Mary Ann Davis of Louisian.; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Russell and her husband, Douglas, of Union and Lydia Emmons of Louisiana.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Herd was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Herd; one daughter, June Roberts; one son, Charles Herd; and her parents, Isom and Myrtle Emmons.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Russell, Tony Luckie, Perry Luke, Tommy Tucker, Don Terrell and Bruce Terrell.
Milling Funeral Home of Union is in charge of the arrangements.
Rev. Kevin Meador and Rev. Tod Thompson will officiate.
