August 12, 1948-October 28, 2024
Services for Mrs. Bess Ann “Bobbie” White was held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Hebron Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Bro. Harold Laird and Bro. Mike Powell officiated.
Bess Ann (Bobbie) White was born on August 21, 1948 in Union, MS to Oscar and Nonie Mary Herrington. She attended and graduated Beulah Hubbard High School in 1966. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from MSU. She taught school for 16 years, but her greatest devotion was to her family. In 1972 she married Kenneth White and had two daughters, Lori and Julie.
Bobbie was a quiet gentle soul that never wanted the spot light. She always had a heart of gold and a sweet smile. Bobbie tried to see the good in people and her family knew she would do anything for them. She was a rare virtuous woman that was married to the love of her life for 52 years. She had a built in best friend with her younger sister, Betty White. Not a day went by that they did not check in with each other. Bobbie loved to read, tend to her flower gardens, spend time with her family, and attend Hebron Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and she loved her church. She also loved her four grandchildren: Kaleigh, Caleb, Sydnee, and Adriane. She was always actively involved in their lives. From baby sitting, attending a school activity or sporting event, she was going to be there. She wanted nothing more than the best for them.
A few things will always remind us of you. When we see blooming Crape Myrtles or even African Violets. No one will ever be able to bake a chocolate pie or sweet potato casserole like you.
You fought hard and endured so much the last three months. You over came so many odds against you due to complications from pancreatitis. You said you were ready to go to heaven. God heard your prayers, so on October 28th at 9:31 A.M. the Angels came and got you and took you to your heavenly home. We love you and will miss you always, but we know we will see you again one day.
Our family would like to thank the CCU staff at Baptist Anderson Medical Center, Regency Hospital, Hebron Baptist Church Family, and everyone that constantly asked and prayed for our mother. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints.” Psalm 116:15
