Funeral Services for Mr. J.C. Jefferson were held, Saturday, May 31, 2025, 12:00 P.M. at Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. J.C. Jefferson was born, March 3, 1950, to the late Mr. Merit Jefferson Sr. and Carrie Lou Jefferson, in Pachuta, Mississippi.
J.C. joined Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Elnora Snow, on June 7, 2007. To this union, two loving children were born, and an adopted loving daughter.
J.C. departed this life on the afternoon of Friday, May 23, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.
Preceeding him death was his father, Merit Jefferson Sr.; mother, Carrie Lou Jefferson; brothers, Merit Jefferson Jr., M.C. Jefferson, Timothy Jefferson; and one sister, Yvone Lewis.
He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish memories, his wife, Elnora Jefferson; son, Derland (George Ann) Snow Sr. of Heidelberg, MS; two daughters, LaToya (Micheal) Taylor of Bay Springs, MS and Chasity Hailes of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Rev. Willie James (Queen) Jefferson and Rev. Lewis (Gloria) Jefferson; four sisters, Willie Ann (Harris) Brown, JoBlanche (Henry) Watts, Shirley Ann (Eddie) Carmichael and Barbara Ann Jefferson; sister-in-law, Alice Jefferson; six loving grandchildren, Derland (Alexis) Snow Jr., Dailand Snow, Kailand Snow, Hikiem (Dinyah) Carmichael, Nathan Taylor, James Graham; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and a special PCA, Jackie Barry (Pops).
Services were entrusted to Dunlap and Thames Funeral Home, Newton, MS 39345.
