Jennifer Jones was born on April 29, 1977 in Meridian, MS, to the late Nina Lou Jones and Leroy Lofton, who raised her with love, strength and unwavering support. From a young age, she displayed a vibrant spirit, a kind heart and a natural ability to bring joy to those around her.
Whether it was her infectious laughter, her caring nature, or her ability to turn any moment into a cherished memory, she was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She attended Newton High School, where she excelled academically and built lifelong friendships. A hardworking and ambitious individual.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nina Lou Jones; her maternal grandparents, Minnie Mae and L.T. Jones She departed this life on January 24, 2026. She was a member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn, her brothers, Tony (Shevette) and Jonathan Jones of Newton, MS, and Kevin Lofton of Forest, MS; one sister, Elizabeth Lofton of Forest, MS; her aunts and uncles, Ruby (Winston) Chapman, Rebecca Watkins, Mary Jones, Jeannie (Grady) Moore, Margaret Jones, Deborah Jones, L.T. Jones JR., Linda Jones, Joanne Jones, Brenda Jones, Carolyn Jones, Janice Jones, Shirley Jones, Cathy Jones, and Maxine; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; one God daughter, Ta’Nea Jackson; and one special friend, Johnny “J-Rock” Nicholson.
Her spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.
