Mary Lynn Glaze Walker, 67 of Lawrence, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. She was born on Saturday, November 17, 1956, in Newton, Mississippi.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Newton County Funeral Home – South, 100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton, Mississippi.
A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Hickory Cemetery in Hickory, Mississippi. Bro. Chris Spence officiated. Special music was provided by Mr. Gil Powell. Newton County Funeral Home - South was in charge of arrangements. 601-635-3200
Mrs. Lynn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newton, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed attending church, reading, playing games, spending time on her computer, and most of all spending time with her family and watching her grand kids sporting events. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herschell A. Glaze; mother, Mary Lee Glenn Glaze; father and mother-in-law, Mack Henry Walker, Sr. and Geneva Walker; brother’s-in-law, Charles Davis and David Taylor; and sister’s-in-law, Betty Glaze and Francis Glaze.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty years, George Walker of Lawrence, MS; one son, Jason Walker (Allison) of Roswell, GA; one daughter, Jamanda Huber (Corey) of Hickory, MS; four grandchildren, Azlyn Walker of Roswell, GA, Atley Walker of Roswell, GA, Gatlin Huber of Minot AFB, ND and Landen Huber of Hickory, MS; three brothers, Jerry Glaze of Brandon, MS, Horace Glaze of Waverly, FL and Bobby Glaze (Linda) of Ellisville, MS; one brother-in-law, Mack Walker, Jr. (Jane) of Texarkana, TX; one sister-in-law, Shirley Taylor of Hickory, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Gatlin Huber and Landen Huber.
