Funeral Services for Nakita Tichae Wash were held on December 7, 2024. Nakita Tichae Wash left her earthly home, Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the beautiful age of 27, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
Nakita was born in Meridian, MS to Derek and Frances Wash. Nakita attended Newton High School, where she graduated in 2015. Nakita was an avid truck driver, and loved being on the road experiencing new places.
Nakita was a devoted mother to Donovan Wash, her pride and joy.
Nakita was preceeded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Margie Lindsey; her uncle, Jerry Bell and nephew, Master Kendall Brown-Wash.
Nakita is survived by her parents, Derek (Christie) Wash and Frances Wash; her Godmother, Mrs. JoFrancis Fielder (Johnny); her maternal grandfather, Mr. Charles B. Lindsey (Lois); her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mavis Hudson of Carthage, MS and her paternal grandfather, Mr. Felix Wash (Lillie) of Newton, MS.
Nakita also leaves to cherish her memories, her siblings, three brothers, Taniko Kidd (Crystal), Demetrius Wash and Cameron Evans, all of Newton, MS; one step-brother, John Thomas of Lake, MS; two sisters, La’Keyla Holley (Corey) of Memphis, TN and DeAndra Davis of Louisville, MS; four step-sisters, Christie Wash, Katherine Thomas, Alexandra Thomas and Ca’Lea Thomas, all of Lake, MS; five aunts, Mrs. Detria Norman (Noble) of Newton, MS, Mrs. Roseanna Sewor (Richard) of Grand Bay, AL, Theresa Green, Ann, Evan and Tonya Watts (Pat) of Newton, MS; three uncles, Anthony Dukes (Arletha) of Lake, MS, Ken Wash of Carthage, MS and Charles B. Lindsey, Jr. of Newton, MS.
Nakita was a loving aunt to five beautiful nieces and one handsome nephew.
Nakita also leaves to cherish her memory, one special uncle, Mr. James C. Smith, Jr. and aunt, Betsy Perl, both of Aurora, IL and a host of other great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
