Services for Mrs. Willa Rigdon Estes were held at 2 pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Andrew Black, Bro. Paul Davis and Bro. T.J. Bates officiated.
Visitation was held from 12:00 pm till 2:00pm on Wednesday at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Danny Lanier (Janet), Wayne Lanier (Karen), Mark Lanier (Danette) and Jamie Lanier; two daughters, Alice Jones (Anthony Taylor) and Dawn Jenkins; 14 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; four sisters, Bonnie Gibbon, Lula Hill, Rava Patterson, and Helen Johnson.
Mrs. Estes is preceded in death by parents, W.C. and Odessa Rigdon; husbands, W.L. "Pete" Lanier, Denver "Hamp" Estes; two brothers; three sisters and step son, Darren Estes.
Pallbearers were Jared Lanier, Allen Lanier, Justin Lanier, Micah Lanier, Gage Morrison, Russ Williamson, Sellers Norris, and Jagger Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers were Anthony Taylor, Doyle White, Artie Foreman, and her nephews.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
