Election Day is finally here, or at least for many of the candidates. Tuesday is the Primary Election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This is one of the most important eleciton days throughout the year because we decide who is going to the general election. If a candidate can get 50 percent plus one vote, they will advance to the general election in November. If they don’t, the top two vote getters will face off in three weeks for the Primary Election Run-off.
We hope you got a chance to see our Election Guide last week, but if you didn’t, we still have copies at our office. And you can access it on our website. If you need help accessing it, please give us a call at 601-774-9433 and we can direct you on how to do that.
Please take time to review the information we compiled for you. We tried to get as much participation from local candidates as we could. We had responses from nearly everyone. And we also offered candidates a chance to tell about themselves with political ads.
We hope that you will think about it, pray about it and make the decision you feel is best.
To the candidates, win or lose, we appreciate you putting yourselves out there for the opportunity to serve our community. May the best candidate win in each race.
