Incorporate Newton
While all acknowledge the necessity of having Newton incorporated, it seems everybody is waiting for everybody else to act in the matter; and the consequences will be that public will suffer another winter of drunkenness and rowdyism. Some effort should be made immediately to accomplish the desired end, and with a good Mayor and Marshal, these evils would be crushed.

Emma Lee Barber Hall is Nearing Completion
The new girl’s dormitory on the campus of East Central Community College, Emma Lee Barber Hall, is hopefully on the way to completion. ECC Officials say that the new dorm will be finished when students enroll on August 16.
