PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION
FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing before the BUILDING INSPECTOR of the City of Newton, Mississippi will be held on August 1, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at the City Hall in Newton, Mississippi for the purpose of hearing the application of Robert James Shephard for a Manufactured Home on: Special Exception under Ordinance A-79 of said Municipality concerning the placement of a Manufactured Home:
Commence at the Northeast corner of the SE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 33, TBN, R11E, Newton County, Mississippi, and rune thence South, 25 Feet, more or less, to a point on the South right-of-way line of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad; thence N 86° 20’ W, 865.5 feet along said right-of-way line to the point of beginning: Thence South, 638.1 feet to a point on the North right-of-way line of a 50-foot wide street; thence Westerly along the North right-of-way line of said street a distance of 206.5 feet; thence North, 653.2 feet to a point on the South right-of-way line of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad; thence S 86° 20’ E, 206.9 feet along said right-of-way line to the point of beginning. The property described herein is situated in the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ and in the SE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 3, T6N, R11E, Newton County, Mississippi, and contains 3.00 acres, more or less.
All interested persons are hereby notified that they may appear in person or by agent or attorney at said hearing to present any all comments, objections, or remonstrance pertaining to the application to be considered thereat, which said application requests the placement of a manufactured home: Because at this time the applicant is unable to purchase a new home, buying a manufactured home and placing it at this location will permit them to have a reasonable living accommodation.
