Newton County Circuit Court convened last week to hear cases indicted by a grand jury in September.
The following cases were arraigned by Judge Collins:

● •Randall Joe James, failure to stop motor vehicle, bond set at $25,000
● •Randall K. Ward, taking away a motor vehicle, bond set at $25,000
● •Kenneth Paul Ainsworth and Jesse Lee Nelson, burglary of unoccupied dwelling, habitual offender – Nelson, bond set at $25,000 for Ainsworth, $35,000 for Nelson
● •Jesse Lee Nelson, burglary of a storage shed – habitual offender, bond set at $35,000
● •Christopher Vashun Evens a.k.a. Candy Man, count 1 possession of methamphetamine, count 2 possession of cocaine, count 3 possession of methamphetamine, count 4 possession of marijuana, second drug offender – habitual offender, bond set at $45,000
● •Ryan Anthony Jackson, burglary of a dwelling, bond set at $35,000
● •Glenn D. Hollingsworth Jr., fraudulently obtaining public funds, $5,000
●•Luther A. Ward, possession of methamphetamine – habitual offender, bond set at $25,000
●•Alongo Mortrez Fielder and Rolanda Kidd, burglary of a camper, bond set at $20,000 each
●•Bryan Williams, aggravated domestic violence, bond set at $50,000
● •Jaquavious Townsend, statutory rape, bond set at $50,000
● •William Cumberland, burglary of a dwelling, bond set at $25,000
● •Russell Jonah Adams and Angelica Lejeune, auto burglary, bond set at $10,000 each
●•Sarah Marie Ward, possession of methamphetamine, bond set at $5,000
