Services for Reverend Ed Dickerson of Union were held 3 pm, Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Decatur Church of God with burial in the Decatur Church of God Cemetery. Rev. Dewayne Dickerson, Rev. Mason Dickerson, Rev. Chuck Duncan and Rev. Derwood Perkins officiated.
Reverend Dickerson, age 76, died Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Survivors include his children, Angela Spence (Paul), Jonathan Dickerson (Michelle), Margie King (Nathan) and Josh Dickerson (Kayla); grandchildren, Austin Jordan, Lincoln Jordan, Caden Spence, Hayden Dickerson, Guy Dickerson, William Dickerson, Natalie Sanders (Brandon), Emily King, Baylee Dickerson and Samuel Dickerson; siblings, Wayne Dickerson (Sharon), Glen Dickerson (Cheryl), Sue Collier (Bo), Randy Dickerson and Dennis Dickerson (Aubrey); in-laws, Peggy Lee, Rhonda Hanson (Val), Ronnie Stamper (Melissa), Faye Stamper, Junior Randal and Irma Dark (Lannie). He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and a loving Decatur Church of God family.
Reverend Dickerson is preceded in death by, his loving wife, Stella Stamper Dickerson; his parents, Doris and Louise Dickerson; son in law, Frankie Jordan; father and mother in law, Elbridge and Edna Stamper; brother and sister in laws, Vi and Red Scott, Virgil Stamper, Melba Randal, Jerry Lee and Tuck Stamper.
Pallbearers were Austin Jordan, Lincoln Jordan, Guy Dickerson, William Dickerson, Caden Spence, Brandon Sanders and Chris Partridge
Honorary Pallbearer was Samuel Dickerson
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to: Decatur Church of God Building Fund, 3510 Erin Lucern Rd, Union, MS 39365.
