It was another tough loss for the Newton County Cougars on Friday night.

The Cougars weren’t able to hold onto a second-half lead as Kosciusko scored 20 unanswered points in the second half to take a 34-28 win on Friday night.

High School Football: Generals Dominate Calhoun Academy Behind Strong Defense

Newton County Academy football coach Stevie Nelson said before the season that he didn’t know how his team would be on defense.

The Generals continued their strong defensive play last week and used a strong rushing attack to take a 42-12 win over Calhoun Academy on Friday.

High School Football: Lake Rallies in Second Half to Overcome Union Turnovers

Friday night’s contest between Union and Lake was an old-fashioned tale of two halves.
