Ole Miss surpasses endowment goal one year early

Taylor Crowned Newton High Homecoming Queen

Newton High School senior Euniya Taylor was crowned the 2025 Newton High School Homecoming Queen during homecoming festivities on Friday night. Taylor, the daughter of De'Angelo and Shanita Taylor, was escorted to the field by her father and crowned by 2024 Homecoming Queen Z'Kaila Wheaton.

Clark Crowned 2025 Newton County Homecoming Queen

Newton County High School Senior Anna Leigh Clark was crowned the 2025 Homecoming Queen by the 2024 Homecoming Queen Emily Terrell during halftime festivities at Cougar Stadium on Friday Night. Anna Leigh was escorted to the field by her father, Jonathan Clark, and she was presented flowers by NCHS Principal John May.

High School Football: Tigers fall to Southeast Lauderdale 8-0

The Newton Tigers saw its chance for a second win slip away on Friday night.

Southeast Lauderdale used a 90-yard interception return in the fourth quarter to take an 8-0 win over Newton.

Newton falls to 1-3 on the season and will play at Leake County on Friday night.
