2025 High School Football Schedules: Cougars Face Talented Foes This Fall

Newton County football coach Bobby Bass said he is shaking up the schedule this season but will still have some familiar foes to contend with.

The Cougars will have a preseason jamboree with Lake on Aug. 22, a team they have opened with since Bass arrived at Newton County.

The Lady Generals opened with a 5-4 win over Lamar Christian on a walk-off home run from Adriane Luke but then dropped a 6-1 contest to Columbia on Saturday.
