A tough non-district schedule paid dividends for the Lake softball team last week.
After beating division foe Clarkdale 4-2 on Monday, Lake easily took the first two games in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs, beating Bogue Chitto 11-1 on Friday and 17-0 on Saturday.
