It was another tough loss for the Newton County Cougars on Friday night.

The Cougars weren’t able to hold onto a second-half lead as Kosciusko scored 20 unanswered points in the second half to take a 34-28 win on Friday night.

Like all of their opponents are finding out, Choctaw Central is for real.

The Warriors used a stingy defense and took a 19-14 win over Lake on Friday night.

Lake falls to 1-3 on the season and will take on Union this week.

High School Football: Newton Tigers Seek First Win After Loss to Kemper County

It was another rough night for the Newton football team last week.

The Tigers dropped their third straight game this season and 15th game straight as they fell to Kemper County 49-6 on Friday night.

The Tigers drop to 0-3 on the season and will host Heidelberg this week.
