Welcome To the “Little Town with a Big Heart”
Grace United Baptist Church will have a community wide Fall Festival 4-8 p.m. Oct. 5. There will be games, a dunking booth, haunted school bus, popcorn, hot dogs, food, prizes, inflatables, wristbands and tickets available, weather permitting. The church is located at 2087 Lebanon Church Road, Decatur.

Hickory Day was a success on Sept. 21. There was a large crowd with antique cars and trucks. Everyone enjoyed the day!

Recipe for the Week: 5 Ingredient Crescent Cheesy Bread
Ingredients: 2 cups shredded pizza cheese blend, 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1can (8 ounces) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dough sheet or 1 can (8 ounces) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent rolls. Marinara sauce, if desired.
Steps: Heat oven to 375-degrees. Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. In medium bowl, mix 1 cup of the pizza cheese, the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Set aside: If using dough sheet: Unroll dough. Place on cookie sheet. Press to form 14- by 9-inch rectangle. If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough into 2 long rectangles. Place on cookie sheet. Overlap long sides to form 14- by 9-inch rectangle. Firmly press edges and perforations to seal. Sprinkle bottom half of dough with remaining 1 cup pizza cheese. Fold dough in half lengthwise to enclose cheese, pressing to seal on bottom and sides. Using serrated knife, cut almost completely through dough into 8 pieces. Sprinkle with seasoned cheese mixture. Bake 18-20 minutes or until deep golden brown on edges. Cool 5 minutes. Serve with marinara sauce
