We wish a great midweek to all our readers and friends out there.
A happy birthday goes out to Shavontae Johnson, Dec. 10, and Rodney Jones on Dec. 14. We wish them many more.
We had a great small reunion with one of our very special people last week. Mr. Earnest Jones, of Smith County, tells us he still makes hit trips to the G.V. Montgomery Veteran’s Hospital as needed. We’re always happy to meet and talk to our veterans. Keep those visits going, Mr. Jones! Our vets are number one.

We hope everyone enjoyed the snow. It’s been a long time since we had that much snow in this area. Yours truly made some snow ice cream. For sure, we go back to the old days.
We’re sure the children enjoyed the snow, because the young ones had never seen that much.
We pray for our city, county, state, U.S. government officials and our military, stateside and abroad.
