In present times, the absentees from church is at a high number. Though there is a church at every corner it seems, the numbers attending are very small. Sadly, many churches are having to close for this reason.
When talking to someone abo
ut church, you hear many reasons why they do not feel church is necessary.
Two big reasons you might hear are that churches are too judgmental and he or she can receive the same spiritual blessing at home. It’s true that there are some very judgmental people in a church building, and there are some very good preachers on TV or on podcasts.
But when you find a church that seems to fit you, a main blessing you receive is another family. A church family is there to pray for you when you’re down, or to help you in great times of need. They are also there to worship and praise with you.
There are some great churches in this community that have these qualities in a church family. My encouragement this week is that if you do not have a home church, greatly consider one for the aspect of a family to help you grow spiritually. And for those who have a home church, pray for your second family, and pray that they are the spiritual help you need.
Congratulations to all the graduates in the area!
This is a really special time to celebrate and pray for all these as they go onto the next chapter in life. A special congratulations goes to Ms. Hannah Grace Mitchell of Gibbstown. She completed her degree at MSU this past Friday with a concentration in Biochemistry. Great things are headed for this special young lady!
I hope everyone has a very blessed week! Please update me on any community news or prayer requests by emailing me at bradley.katie93@gmail.com.
