Everyone knows the rule about obeying your mother and father. It’s almost like rule number one.
How many times did your parents tell you to do something that you didn’t want to do? You moaned and groaned about it, and you were super slow in doing the task if you did it at all.
Of course, there was always big consequences if you didn’t obey. Well, it’s the same with God. There are going to be things He calls you to do that are going to be difficult and uncomfortable. And like our earthly parents, our Heavenly Father has major consequences for us if we don’t obey.
We know we should do them no matter how bad the task seems. I personally feel like the harder the task, the bigger the reward or blessing from Him we’ll receive.
My encouragement for us this week is to follow and obey God wherever or whatever He’s telling you. I promise that there are major rewards in the end.
As we celebrate our country this week, remember to pray for our country and all of our leaders.
