My Bible is filled with marks, highlighted passages, and notes. While flipping through to find a scripture Sunday night at church, I found a place I had underlined in Lamentation
s. Lamentations 3: 22-27 says:
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.
It is good for a man to bear
The yoke in his youth.
This is such an encouraging passage! And written beside it in my bible is the lyrics to a Casting Crown song, “your world is not falling apart; it’s falling into place.”
No matter what you’re going through, God has a reason for it. We serve a compassionate and faithful God whom we can just fall into and be held. If you’re going through a difficult time, I hope you find encouragement in this .
It was so nice to see a Stamper Pond featured on TV this past week! For the past couple of years, I spent many days swimming, fishing, and picnicking at that peaceful place. If you haven’t put your feet in the water that’s always crossing the road, make plans to visit before it’s gets too cold to do so!
I ask everyone to please pray for my Ma, Roxanne Bradley, this week as she undergoes a surgery this Thursday. Please pray for an easy procedure and a quick and easy recovery.
I hope everyone has a blessed week filled with autumn activities and maybe some pumpkin carvings!
