Welcome to “The Little Town with a Big Heart”
Inspirational quote: The glow of love may blaze again, but first wake up thy heart so slain, then beating drums could never hide, a joyous heart so opened wide! Shine forth your light on flowers small, that they may scale the highest wall, and blossom yet to show the way, to hidden hearts long gone astray.
Unfurled, unbidden, may it grow, for what life this unless to show? How love can swell a weary chest, and spur on man to be his best! You are the earth, the moon, the sun, take flight, my friend, now start to run, towards the greatness that you are, then upwards to the brightest star. – Sharron Cranston
National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 3. This is a day designated by the United States Congress as a day when all Americans regardless of faith are asked to come together in unity and pray in their own way.
Prayer brings people together. Prayer builds bridges between opposing persons and even political parties. Prayer reminds us that we are created in God’s image and He desires for us to represent Him everywhere we go. Prayer brings unity.
In 2018, our theme will be Pray for America — UNITY, based upon Ephesians 4:3 which challenges us to mobilize unified public prayer for America, “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
Our hope is that individuals, churches, and spiritual leaders in America, will humble ourselves and unify in prevailing prayer for the next great move of God in America. We can come together in clear agreement that this is our greatest need.
We can become a visible union, standing together in prayer. We can pray more than ever before, and practice extraordinary prayer for the next great move of God in America that will catapult the message of the gospel nationally and internationally.
Prayer requests go out to Dannie Walker, Susan Cuchens, Makenlee Wright, Tony Grimes, Tim Stanford, Dustin Harris, Ally Gressett, Allyssa McMullan, Alana McMullan, Peggy Garrison, Scott Nunley, Donis Gomillion, Mike Linton, John Patterson, Doyle Gibbs, Doyle McMullan, Cille Norman, Doyle McMullan, Stephanie Roland, Janie McMullan and Stacy Stevens.
