Union Day
The Union Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to attend its annual Union Day festival, Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The festival will feature a car show, parade, food and craft vendors, political speeches, a talent show and entertainment.
Union Public Library Children’s Story Time
The Union Public Library will host a Children’s Story Time each Friday at 10 a.m. All children are invited to attend.
Summer Reading Program Launch
The Summer Reading Program will blast-off with “A Universe of Stories” Summer Reading Program Launch from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at the Union Branch, 101 Peachtree Street.

The Newton Historical Cultural Commission will hold the monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 23, in the Hoye House. All members and other interested persons are urged to attend.
Thomas Family 77th Reunion
The descendants of John Thomas, Father of William Washington Thomas and Catherine Phillips Thomas, will hold the annual Thomas Family Reunion at the William Edward Thomas Home Place, 10491 CR 133, Philadelphia, on Saturday, June 8 at 11:30 a.m. We hope each of you will plan to come, bring a dish and share lunch. 67th Annual Newton Chamber Banquet
Join us on Thursday, June 6th for our 67th Annual Newton Chamber of Commerce Banquet! We will start the evening at 5:30 p.m. with a Silent Auction, and dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Our guest apeaker is Lieutenant Colonel David S. Alexander, Deputy Personnel Officer, MSARNG who will speak about the 1-204th Air Defense Artillery. Entertainment will be a Musical Quartet composed of Randy Cuchens, Victor Coker, Jeff Hardy, Michael Ledlow and Joe Pugh. Tickets are $20 each and are on sale until May 26, 2019.
