Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Duane Quattlebaum Hagan were held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Bluff Spring Church of God in Union. Rev. Jeff Hancock officiated. Burial was in Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home of Union was entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Hagan, 81, of Union, passed away at Hilltop Manor Nursing Center on Tuesday, July 16.
She was retired after working many years at the shirt factory in Union. Family and friends will remember her as a very loving Christian woman, who loved everyone and worked very hard during her life. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, the American Pickers television show, researching genealogy and scrapbooking. She was a member of Bluff Spring Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, James Wayne Hagan; sons, Dale Viverette and Todd Viverette and wife Kim; stepchildren, Cindy Horton and Tommy Hagan; and grandchildren, Courtney Viverette, Matt Viverette, Kyle Viverette, Adrian Viverette, Bailee Viverette and Luke Viverette. Mrs. Hagan is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Quattlebaum; brothers, Phillip, Herman and Leroy Quattlebaum; and sister, Jean Smith.
Visitation was held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
