Gwendolyn Cleveland Thrash, 93, of Newton, Mississippi, died Tuesday April 7, 2020, at Bedford Care Center of Newton. She was born Wednesday, May 26, 1926, in the Stratton Community.
Private Family Graveside Services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at Newton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Philip Marshall officiated. Newton County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thrash; her parents, William and Sally Cleveland; and two brothers, William Boyd Cleveland and Cobert Cleveland.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Marshall (Philip); three granddaughters, Lauren Robinson (Grant), Marilyn Wishert, and Madison Jackson (Brinson); four great-grandchildren, David Wishert, Sarah Wishert, Elizabeth Wishert, and Jonathan Wishert; one sister, Imogene Addy; a sister-in-law, Carlene Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
