Services for Mr. Herbert Boyd Williamson were held 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, at Pine Grove Church of God in Dixon with burial in the Morrow Cemetery. Rev. Phillip Williams, Rev. Anthony Cole and Dr. Dan Lanier officiated.
Visitation was held 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Milling Funeral Home of Union and also 1:30 p.m. until service time on Thursday, at Pine Grove Church of God in Dixon.
Mr. Williamson, 86, of Union, died Monday, Sept. 24 at V.A. Medical Center in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Waudine Williamson of Union; one son, Russell Williamson and wife, Debbie, of Collinsville; eight grandchildren, Kerry Bradford, Tyson Pompelia and wife, Cole, Boyd Platt and wife, Erin, Kyle Grace and wife, Abby, Amanda Fekete and husband, Joe, Leah Platt, Rusty Williamson and wife, Jamie, and McGuire Williamson; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb Bradford, Mackenzie Platt, Mason Platt, Xander Lashley, Parker Pompelia, Barrett Grace, Ty Pompelia and Mabry Lynn Platt; two sons-in-law, Don Nester and wife, Terresa, and Lamar Jones; and one daughter-in-law, Kim Platt.
Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Willamson; two sons, Olen Boyd Williamson and Vernon Platt; two daughters, Christy Nester and Wanda Jones; one great grandson, Kristopher Platt and five siblings.
Pallbearers for Williamson were Tyson Pompelia, Boyd Platt, Kerry Bradford, Kyle Grace, Caleb Bradford and Rusty Williamson. His great-grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of the arrangements.
