Janette Germany Peavy’s life ended peacefully on Sept. 20, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn., after a courageous, year-long fight with cancer.
Janette brought beauty and laughter to the world and let it overflow into the lives around her. She let the love of Jesus flow through her into her home, her family, her church and her community. To everyone whose life she touched, she was the epitome of sweetness, beauty and grace.
Visitation was held 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, and one hour prior to the service being held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the First Baptist Church in Fairview, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Janette Peavy memorial Fund may be made to the First Baptist Church, 7310 Overby Rd., Fairview, TN 37062. Services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m., at Stephen’s Funeral Home. Internment was at New Ireland Cemetery in Union.
