Funeral services for Regenia Harper Meador will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home of Union. Bro. Kevin Meador and Bro. William Savell will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Pinckney Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Meador, 80, of Decatur, passed away Sunday at her residence. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother. Mrs. Meador taught high school science at Union, Decatur and Newton County Academy. She enjoyed playing the piano at her church, Pickney Baptist Church and loved taking care of her flowers in her garden.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Meador, of Decatur; daughter, Connie Harris; grandchildren, Matthew Harris, Cheyenne Harris and Joanie Suggs. Mrs. Meador is also survived by one great-grandchild, Bryanne Suggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph C. Harper and Lucy Boyles Harper.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m.
