Ronald Alfred (Butch) Ewald, 74, of Canton, Ga. passed away at his home Aug. 26. Funeral Services were held at the historical chapel of the First Baptist Church, Marietta, Ga on Aug. 29, with Dr Bill Ross and Rev Phillip Vestal officiating. Burial was in Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta.
He was born December 13, 1943 in Union. He was the son of the late Ruby Byrd
Ewald and Lloyd Ewald. He also was preceded in death by brother, Lloyd Alfred Ewald, Jr.; sister, Peggy Ann Ewald Tullos; and nephew, Chuck Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Vance Ewald; two sons, Ronald Alfred Ewald Jr. and wife, Mary and John Eric Ewald and wife, Michelle; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a member of Marietta First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
He will be greatly missed, but always in our hearts.
