William Thomas “Tommy” Davis, 85, passed away Monday, May 29, 2019 at Merritt Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Miss. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 5-8 p.m., and on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 2-3:15 p.m. at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Miss. Funeral Services are 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, Miss., with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, Miss.
Tommy was raised in Lake, graduated from Lake High School and attended Northwest Jr. College in Seminary, Miss. In 1955, he married Jenene Parker from Lawrence. Tommy served in the U.S. Navy for 9 years and retired as Chief Master Sergeant after 33 years of service with the MS Air National Guard in Jackson. He was a former life member of the NCO Association and was also member of Eastside Baptist Church, where he especially enjoyed his Sunday School Class. Tommy was an avid golfer, enjoyed camping and blue grass music festivals, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jenene Davis; two daughters, Melba Nipper (Mike) and Debbie McKee (Reggie); son, Bill Davis (Colette); six grandchildren, Jessica Stetson (Ben), Wendy Byrd (Nelson), Shelia Cooley (Heath), Gabriel Davis, Gabriella Davis and Annabella Davis; eight great grandchildren, Wyatt Stetson, Andee Stetson, Shelton Byrd, Mahaley Byrd, Ellis Byrd, Dade Cooley, Matt Cooley and Josh Cooley; sister, Peggy Jones (John) and a brother, Don Davis (Helen). Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Loyce and Ella Bea Davis.
