After a tough outing to start the Class 1A playoffs, the Sebastopol Lady Bobcats finished off their first-round opponent with relative ease.
After a 3-2 loss to Puckett to end the regular season, Sebastopol took a 9-7 win over Enterprise-Lincoln on Friday and then finished off the series with a 10-0 win on Saturday.
Sebastopol improves to 18-10 on the season and will advance to the second round of the Class 1A playoffs where they will take on Hollandale Simmons, who had a first-round bye as division champions.
Sebastopol 10, Enterprise-Lincoln 0
The Lady Bobcats got a one-hit performance from Neely Wolverton to take a six-inning, run-rule win over the Lady Yellowjackets to win the series and advance in the playoffs.
Sebastopol scored three in the first and second, one in the third and two in the fourth while finishing with one in the sixth.
Sebastopol had 10 hits in the contest as Gracie McDill led the team, going 2-for-4 with a double. Hanna Boleware, Callie Byram and Annagrace Stewart each had doubles for the Lady Bobcats.
Wolverton pitched all six innings and gave up just one hit as she struck out six to pick up the win.
Sebastopol 9, Enterprise-Lincoln 7
The Lady Bobcats started fast and held on to take a two-run win over the Lady Yellowjackets on Friday.
Sebastopol scored three in the first and second and led 6-2 after three innings. The Lady Bobcats added one in the fourth and two in the fifth while Enterprise scored three in the fifth and two in the seventh.
Sebastopol outhit Enterprise 16-10 in the contest. Abbie Wilson was 4-for-5 and scored three runs while Ryleigh Wolverton was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBIs. Neely Wolverton was 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs while Emma Smith and Gracie McDill were each 2-for-4. Callie Byram singled, scored twice and had two RBIs.
Savanna Crout started in the circle and pitched five innings, giving up five runs, only one earned, on 10 hits while striking out two. Neely Wolverton pitched two innings and gave up two runs on three walks while striking out two.
Puckett 3, Sebastopol 2
The Lady Bobcats closed out the regular season with a one-run loss to the Lady Wolves on Tuesday.
Puckett scored one in the third and two in the sixth while Sebastopol scored one in the sixth and seventh.
Sebastopol outhit Puckett 9-3 in the contest. Emma Smith was 2-for-3 with a double while Annagrace Stewart was 2-for-3 with a triple and scored a run.
Neely Wolverton started in the circle and pitched five innings, giving up one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five. Savannah Crout pitched one inning and gave up two runs on two walks.
