After opening the season with a pair of losses, the Lake Lady Hornets grabbed their first two wins of the season last week.
Lake beat Enterprise 13-12 with a walk-off single in the ninth inning by Daelyn Earls to give the Lady Hornets their first win of the season. Lake then beat Sebastopol 9-6 on Thursday but then lost 13-3 to Newton County on Saturday.
Lake has three games scheduled for this week, including the second game of a two-game series with Southeast Lauderdale on Friday at home. Lake will then travel to Stringer on Saturday for a 10 a.m. contest. They will return home to take on Nanih Waiya on Tuesday.

Pitching: Earls started in the circle and pitched five innings, giving up seven runs on 10 hits. Ceely Graham pitched an inning and gave up four unearned runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two. Alford pitched the last three innings and gave up one run on two hits.
