Newton football coach Zack Grady summed up the past week for Newton in three words.
“It was hot,” Grady said. “That’s the week in a nutshell.”
The veteran coach said the Tigers, like every other team in the state, battled the heat as they put on pads for the first time this season. But Grady said he thought he saw some growth.
