Lady Bobcats stay hot in district play

The Sebastopol girls added two more wins to their total this past week.

The Lady Bobcats stayed in control of the division as they beat Leake County 53-29 and McAdams 51-26.

The Bobcats lost both games as they fell 75-69 to Leake County and 75-53 to McAdams.

YELLOWJACKET ROUNDUP: Union girls continue to dominate district

The Union girls added two more wins to the total last week.

The Lady Yellowjackets improved to 23-2 on the season as they beat Southeast Lauderdale 62-43 and Enterprise 53-45.

The Yellowjackets lost three games as they fell to Southeast 70-20, Enterprise 53-39 and Forest 47-46.

COUGAR ROUNDUP: Newton County girls dominate Mendenhall

Newton County only got in one game last week and the Lady Cougars were able to come away with a win.

The Lady Cougars had three players in double figures as they went on the road to beat Mendenhall 55-30. The Cougars lost 80-56 to the Tigers.

Legendary Delta State University baseball coach, and current DSU Athletic Director, Mike Kinnison will be the featured speaker at the annual East Central Community College Baseball First Pitch Dinner scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 4. The event will be held in the Mabry Memorial Cafeteria on the Decatur campus.
