ECCC’s Blakely Signs to Play Football for MVSU
East Central Community College sophomore linebacker Anthony Blakely signed a national letter of intent Feb. 5 to play football next year for Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena.
Blakely, a product of Greene County High School in Leakesville, started all nine games for the ECCC Warriors in 2019 and recorded 40 tackles, including 28 solo stops and six tackles for a loss.

Belhaven
East Central Community College sophomore Kaylee Webb has signed to continue her softball career next season at Belhaven University in Jackson.
Webb, an infielder who prepped at Ruston (La.) High School, hit .407 in 2019 and led the Lady Warriors in singles with 45, runs scored with 50, and stolen bases with 28.
