The Sebastopol Bobcats won just one of three games last week on the baseball diamond.
After beating Choctaw County 17-7 on Tuesday, the Bobcats lost a pair of one-run games to French Camp, falling 3-2 on Friday and 20-19 on Saturday.
The Bobcats, now 2-2 on the year, will return to play on Monday as they host Forest and will then host Lake on Friday. During spring break, the Bobcats will play Philadelphia at Forest on Monday in a 10 a.m. contest On Tuesday, the Bobcats will play Forest in a 5:30 p.m. contest and will finish out the week on Wednesday as they play Choctaw Central at Forest at 12:30 p.m.
Sebastopol 17, Choctaw County 7
The Bobcats scored in every inning but one and took a six-inning, run-rule win over the Chargers on Tuesday.
The Bobcats scored one in the first and three in the second and led 4-1 after three innings. The Bobcats then scored seven in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth . Choctaw scored three in the fourth and in the innings.
Sebastopol had 12 hits and drew 11 walks in the contest. Ethan Boleware was 3-for-5 with two doubles and four runs scored . Ben Myers was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Jacob Williams doubled, walked three times, had three RBIs and scored two runs.
Conner Henry picked up the win and pitched five innings, giving up four runs on four hits . striking out six. Caleb Leach pitched the final inning, giving up three runs on one hit and two walks . striking out two.
French Camp 3, Sebastopol 2
The Bobcats lost a low-scoring affair to the Panthers on Friday.
French Camp scored two in the fourth and one in the fifth. Sebastopol scored one in the first and sixth innings.
Sebastopol outhit French Camp 7-4 in the contest. Bishop Hardin was 2-for-4 in the contest . Makarious Michaels doubled and drove in a run. Ethan Boleware and Caleb Leach each singled and scored a run.
Ben Myers pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up three unearned runs on two hits . striking out six. Hardin pitched 2 1/3 innings and struck out three . giving up two hits.
French Camp 20, Sebastopol 19
The Panthers scored in every inning but one and took a wild one-run win over the Bobcats on Saturday.
French Camp scored two in the firs and five in the second and led 7-1 after two. But Sebastopol scored eight in the third to go up 9-7. But French Camp answered with seven in the fourth to go up 14-9. The Bobcats finished with five in the fifth and sixth . French Camp scored four in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Each team had 13 hits in the contest as Ethan Boleware was 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBIs. Connor Henry was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs . Jacob Williams was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. Bishop Hardin scored three runs . Jess Johnson and Alex McDill each scored two runs apiece.
Jacob Williams pitched two innings for Sebastopol . Connor Henry pitched 2 1/3 and Caleb Leach pitched the last 1 2/3 innings.
