A season of injuries and misfortune finally came to a merciful ending for the Union Yellowjackets on Thursday night.
Enterprise had 362 yards of total offense and beat Union 44-12 in a non-division matchup.
With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-7 on the season and will make the playoffs as the No. 4 team out of Division 5-2A. With the loss, Union finishes the season at 2-8.
It was another frustrating loss for the Yellowjackets, who were plagued by injuries and inexperience this season.

“We had trouble stopping everything,” Union coach Brad Breland said. “They were just tougher than us. We knew coming in that whoever wanted it more and whoever was tougher would win the game. Obviously, they showed who was tougher and who wanted it more. I don’t understand, we practice all week on stuff and then get out here on Friday night and look like we haven’t practiced. They know what to do, they just aren’t doing it.”
The Bulldogs set the tone for the game on the opening drive as they drove 80 yards in eight plays as Christian Milsap scored on a 4-yard run with 9:12 left in the first quarter. The try for two failed and Enterprise led 6-0 early.
After a quick Union punt, Enterprise again got to work on the ground, this time going 57 yards in eight plays as Kaleb Fisher scored on an 8-yard run with 4:45 left in the first. Zach Kyle ran in the two-point conversion and Enterprise led 14-0.
After an Enterprise interception by Seth Williams, Fisher found the end zone again on a 7-yard run to give the Bulldogs a 22-0 lead with 3:23 left in the first quarter.
Union then scored one of its two touchdowns in the first half as Jamarian Harmon scored on a 66-yard revers with 2:48 left in the first to cut the lead to 22-6.
The Yellowjackets stopped the Bulldogs on downs on their next possession, only to give it right back on an interception by Enterprise’s Marquez Riley.
The Bulldogs quickly found the end zone as River Kidd scored on a 16-yard touchdown run with 11:29 left in the first half. Fisher ran in the two-point conversion and Enterprise led 30-6.
The Yellowjackets cut into the Enterprise lead momentarily as Lane Hanna hit Harmon on an 8-yard touchdown pass. The try for two failed and Enterprise held a 30-12 lead.
The Bulldogs added two more second-quarter scores as Milsap scored on a 3-yard run with 1:36 left to play. The last score came with no time left on the clock as Ridge Kidd hit Williams on a 15-yard pass for the final points of the game.
Fisher led the Enterprise offense with 102 yards on 13 carries while Kyle and Kidd each had 72 yards rushing. Milsap finished with 43 yards while Ridge Kidd was 2-of-5 passing for 47 yards.
