The Lake Lady Hornets managed to pick up a win last week in the Seminary Tournament.
The Lady Hornets beat Collins 31-26 but then lost 48-25 to Taylorsville. The Hornets dropped both contests at Seminary, falling 41-38 to Magee and 55-37 to Collins.
Lake will return to action on Tuesday as they are set to host Enterprise on Tuesday and Pisgah on Friday.
Magee boys 41, Lake 38
The Tigers used a big fourth period as they came from behind to beat the Hornets last week at Seminary.
Lake led 5-4 at the end of the first and 16-9 at the half. Lake extended its lead in the third, outscoring Magee 14-10 to lead 30-19. But Magee outscored Lake 22-8 in the fourth to take the three-point win.
Jalen Theus led Lake with 13 points while Zywon Ledbetter had 10 points. Danarrious Hughes had five points and Brady McGee added four.
Taylorsville girls 48, Lake 25
The Lady Tartars build a big first-half lead and en route to a 17-point win.
Taylorsville outscored Lake 15-8 in the first and 17-5 in the second to lead 32-13 at the half. Lake outscored Taylorsville 10-2 in the third to cut the lead to 34-23. The Lady Tartars took the fourth 14-2 for the final margin.
Ameria Ervin led Lake with nine points while Laneisha Palm had eight points.
Collins boys 55, Lake 37
Collings dominated the middle two period and took an 18-point win over the Hornets.
Lake led 11-9 at the end of the first before Collins outscored the Hornets 22-12 in the second to lead 31-23 at the half. Collins outscored Lake 14-2 in the third to lead 45-25 going into the fourth.
Brady McGee led Lake with nine points while Jalen Theus had seven points. Zywon Ledbetter, Davonte Rankin and Danarrious Hughes each had six points apiece.
Lake 31, Collins 26
The Lady Hornets built a big lead in the third period and held on to take five-point win.
Lake led 14-10 at the end of the first and 21-18 at the half. The Lady Hornets then outscored Lake 10-0 in the third to lead 31-18 going to the fourth.
Laneisha Palm led Lake with 13 points while Ameria Ervin had seven points. D’Nara Barton added five points for the Lady Cougars.
