The Newton County Lady Cougars added two more wins to their total this past week.
The Lady Cougars took a tough 5-4 win over Choctaw Central on Tuesday and then hammered Northeast Lauderdale 14-0 on Thursday.
Newton County, now 19-1 on the season, will travel to Clarkdale on Monday before hosting Neshoba Central on Tuesday. The Lady Cougars will host Meridian on Thursday and then go to the West Harrison Tournament on Saturday.

The Lady Cougars needed just four innings to take a run-rule win over the Lady Trojans on Thursday.
County scored two in the first, three in the second and fourth and added six in the third.
County had 13 hits in the contest as Lizzy Hollingsworth was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Casey Dube was 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Katelyn Jackson was 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Jada McDougle tripled and had two RBIs while Katelyn Gipson also had two RBIs. Lorren Ivey also had a double and scored a run while Maeli Ben walked twice and scored twice. Natalie Lampton also scored two runs.
Lampton pitched three innings and gave up two hits while Christyia Denson pitched the last inning.
County 5, Choctaw Central 4
The Lady Cougars held of a tough Choctaw Central team to take a one-run win on Tuesday.
Choctaw led 2-1 after three innings before County scored three in the fourth and one in the fifth. Choctaw scored one in the fourth and sixth innings.
County had 12 hits in the contest as Lizzy Hollingsworth, Katelyn Gipson and Katelyn Jackson were each 2-for-3. Haley McDowell was 2-for-2 while Gipson had a double in the game.
Natalie Lampton pitched all seven innings for County and gave up seven hits and two earned runs while striking out three.
