Things haven’t always been easy for Union’s Andy Ogletree since he turned professional.
After winning the U.S. Amateur, COVID hit and forced Ogletree to miss his senior year at Georgia Tech. It then pushed back his appearance in the Masters, where he was the low amateur. But Ogletree failed to find a place on the PGA Tour. Then a string of injuries hampered Ogletree’s professional development.
But 2023 was a big year for Ogletree as he won two Asian Tour events and the Order of Merit as he finished atop the Tour’s standings. In the process, Ogletree won more than $1 million last year.
That success helped Ogletree earn a spot on the LIV golf tour, being picked to play on Phil Mickelson’s team.
