The Lake Hornets stayed undefeated last week as they grabbed three more wins.
Lake swept a doubleheader from Newton, beating the Tigers 15-0 and 18-0. They ended the week with a 12-5 win over Pisgah on Saturday.
Lake, now 6-0, was scheduled to return to play on Monday as they play Puckett at Forest at 12:30 p.m. On Tuesday, they will play Choctaw Central at Forest at 10 a.m. and will play Leake Central at Forest on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Lake 15, Newton 0
Brady McGee was 2-for-2 with a double, three stolen bases and three runs scored. Easton Tune was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Seth McGee had a double and drove in two runs while Zywon Ledbetter had a double and two RBIs. Noah Essary also had a double and drove in a run.
Nathan Lott had a single and drove in two runs while Mickey Parker walked three times and scored two runs. Myles Johnson and Jalen Gray each scored two runs apiece. Essary pitched three perfect innings and struck out seven.
Lake 18, Newton 0
Lake only had two hits and 11 walks while six Hornets reached after being hit by a pitch.
Ben Moore had one of Lake’s two hits with a double and drove in three runs while Seth McGee singled and drove in two runs. Mickey Parker and Easton Tune each scored two runs and had two RBIs. Nathan Lott, Seth Harrison, Myles Johnson, Kenny Ray Hanna, Logan Palmer and Jalen Gray each scored two runs.
Brady McGee pitched one inning and struck out three while Riley Bell pitched the second and got three outs on nine pitches.
Lake 12, Pisgah 5
Lake had 13 hits in the contest as Brady McGee was 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs. Mickey Parker was 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs scored and two RBIs while Ben Moore was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. East Tune had a double and drove in three runs while Noah Essary had a double and scored two runs. Myles Johnson also scored two runs.
Seth Harrison pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two. Brady McGee pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up one run on two hits.
