A local stepping group recently held a toy drive at the Friends of Children Head Start Center in Newton as part of its ongoing community service efforts.
Founded in 2022, The Lady Steppas of Newton focuses not only on stepping, but also on giving back to the community and supporting individuals and families in need whenever possible. Members say service has always been a central part of their mission.
Organizers shared that while the group has completed many service projects over the years, seeing the children’s faces light up as they received toys made this event especially meaningful.
The group also expressed appreciation for Mrs. Ann Mapp, who serves as secretary and treasurer, crediting her with keeping the organization well organized and running smoothly.
