School is right around the corner, and this weekend is a great opportunity to save money while buying school supplies as this weekend is the 2025 Tax-Free Weekend for back-to-school items in Mississippi.
The annual sales tax holiday, which provides a temporary exemption from the state’s 7% sales tax on eligible purchases, begins on Friday, July 11, and ends on Sunday, July 13.
During the tax-free weekend, items such as clothing, footwear, and school supplies qualify for the tax-free holiday as long as each item’s sales price is less than $100.

Online or phone purchases are included during the tax-free weekend, however shipping and handling charges are not included in the $100 limit.
