The water tower over the La-Z-Boy plant in downtown Newton, most of which shut down last year, is being sandblasted and repainted.
During a meeting on Sept. 5, the board of aldermen agreed to remove the longtime fixture’s logo and replace it with the word “Tigers” to go along with the opposite side, which already says “Newton.”
