The Circuit Court of Newton County, Eighth Judicial District, convened on Aug. 4-22, where Olivea Tayla Jackson plead guilty to the charge of attempted 1st degree murder. Jackson was sentenced to serve a term of twenty years in the custody of MDOC, and to pay a $2,500 fine plus all court costs.
