Softball: Lake Lady Hornets Sweep Week with Four Games and Four Wins

The Lake Lady Hornets had a busy week on the softball fields.

Lake played four games and came home with four wins.

After a 12-0 shutout win over Southeast Lauderdale on Monday, Lake hammered Bay Springs 18-7 on Tuesday. Lake then beat Bay springs 6-3 on Thursday before beating Union 8-1 on Saturday.

Baseball: Union Overpowers J.Z. George then Falls to Lake

The Union baseball team won two out of three games last week, getting wins in the two that mattered the most.

Union swept two games from J.Z. George in 4-2A play, winning 20-0 on Tuesday and 26-2 on Friday. Union finished the week with a 14-4 loss to Lake on Saturday.

Tennis: Union Tennis Faces Week of Highs and Lows

The Union tennis team got in two matches last week, splitting the two games.

Union lost 6-1 to West Lauderdale on Tuesday and then beat Enterprise 5-2 on Thursday.

Union swept the singles action and came away with a 5-2 win over Enterprise on Thursday.
