Basketball: Yellowjackets Face Tough Week Against Nanih Waiya, Scott Central

It was a busy week for the Union basketball tams with three games.

The Lady Yellowjackets got a win over Scott Central 39-34 while dropping contests to Nanih Waiya 47-40 and Newton County 50-27.

The Yellowjackets dropped all three contests, falling 65-30 to Nanih Waiya, 43-32 to Scott Central and 64-28 to Newton County.

Basketball: Cougars Excel With Wins Over Union, Philly, Kemper

The Newton County Cougars had a busy week on the hardwoods, picking up three wins.

The Cougars beat Kemper County 68-43 on Tuesday and then beat Philadelphia 48-42 on Thursday. They finished the week with a 64-28 win over Union.
