Yates retires from Philly FD

Union volunteer firefighters surprised their fire chief, Dale Yates, for his retirement Thursday during the station’s monthly meeting. Coordinating with his family, the firefighters presented Yates with a plaque recognizing his 25 years of service to the Philadelphia Fire Department.

Nichols indicted for Pine Bluff murder

A Pine Bluff resident is facing life in prison after last week’s meeting of the Newton County Grand Jury.

Kennard Raymond Nichols, 42, has been indicted for first-degree murder in the killing of 57-year-old Newton resident, Donzell McDonald in October 2019.
