Students, faculty and staff at East Central Community College participated Friday in the first-ever EC Cares day. Teams of volunteers split up across five counties, performing service projects for their communities. In Newton County, teams visited the Newton County Courthouse, Roxy Theater and J.G. Alexander Nursing Home.
